Pakistan Football Federation names 23-member squad for FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026

Head coach Nolberto Solano will guide the Shaheens as Pakistan prepares for the inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup in Indonesia.

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced a 23-member national squad for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026, with the Shaheens set to represent the country in Indonesia.

The squad features footballers based in Pakistan alongside players currently playing or residing abroad. The selection is part of Pakistan’s preparations for the inaugural edition of the FIFA ASEAN Cup.

Head Coach

Nolberto Solano will take charge of the Pakistan national team for the tournament. The experienced coach will oversee the Shaheens as they face international opposition from the ASEAN region.

The tournament is expected to give Pakistan valuable exposure against teams from a different regional football landscape while providing the national side with an opportunity to assess its squad and build further international experience.

Pakistan Squad

The 23-player group includes Yousuf Butt, Hassan Ali, Saqib Hanif, Abdullah Shah, Abdul Rahman, Ali Khan, Ali Agha, Hayyan Khattak, Ali Uzair, Alamgir Ghazi and Ali Raza.

Abdul Samad Arshad, Kaleem Ullah, Shayek Dost, Abdullah Iqbal, Easah Suliman, Mohib Ullah, Mamoon Khan, Mohd Fazal, Haris Zeb, Umer Nawaz, Abdul Samad and Ali Khan complete the squad.

The selection combines established names with players looking to contribute to Pakistan’s international campaign, giving Solano several options as preparations continue.

Training Camp

Earlier, PFF President Syed Mohsen Gilani visited Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad, where the national team was holding its training camp ahead of the ASEAN Cup.

During the visit, Gilani met the players and coaching staff, discussed preparations for the competition and reviewed the arrangements being made for the team.

FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026

The upcoming tournament will offer Pakistan a new international platform and an opportunity to gain competitive experience against teams from the ASEAN region.

With the squad now confirmed, the Shaheens will focus on completing their preparations under Solano before travelling to Indonesia for the competition.
