Pakistan gold price rises to Rs440,636 per tola

Domestic gold prices gain Rs2,000 per tola as international bullion rates climb by $20 amid global uncertainty.

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Friday, with the price of 24-karat gold reaching Rs440,636 per tola, following an increase in international bullion rates.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,000 per tola, compared with Thursday’s closing rate of Rs438,636.

The price of 24-karat gold also rose by Rs1,715 per 10 grams to Rs377,774, up from the previous closing price of Rs376,059.

Market participants attributed the latest increase to gains in international bullion markets, where gold continued to attract investor interest amid uncertainty in the global economy.

Bullion market experts said ongoing tensions in the Middle East and concerns surrounding inflation were contributing to volatility in precious metals. Movements in international gold prices continue to have a direct influence on rates in Pakistan.

In the international market, gold climbed $20 per ounce to $4,181, compared with the previous closing level of $4,161.

The latest increase highlights the close relationship between domestic and international bullion markets. Local gold prices are influenced not only by global rates but also by currency movements and prevailing market conditions.

Gold remains a closely watched asset among Pakistani investors and consumers, particularly during periods of economic uncertainty. Jewellers and bullion traders are monitoring international markets for further indications about the direction of domestic prices.
