Pakistan has geographical importance for investment

KARACHI: Pakistan has geographical importance for investment in the region, Henry Ensher, Deputy Assistant Secretary Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs said on Friday.
He said this at a meeting with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail. US Consul General JoAnne Wagner and other senior officials were also present at the meeting.
Henry Ensher said that Pakistan was emerging as peaceful nation. He said that US investors were taking interest to invest in Pakistan. He further said that Pakistan had geographical importance for investment.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on the occasion said that Pak-US bilateral relation was beneficial for the region.
He said that bilateral investment would help eradicating unemployment and poverty in the region.
The governor said that the province of Sindh, especially Karachi city, offered immense investment opportunities in sectors including health, pharmaceutical, oil, information technology, energy, agriculture, infrastructure etc.
Sindh governor said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would open new economic horizon for the region. He added that many countries were taking interest in CPEC projects.
Imran Ismail said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was endeavoring to make Pakistan as economic hub of the region.
He said that Pakistan is the fastest emerging economy and investors were taking keen interest in the country. He said that US investors can take benefit from this opportunity.
