ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Iran have engaged in extensive discussions aimed at enhancing agricultural cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
During a meeting held on the sidelines of the 9th session of the Pakistan-Iran Joint Trade Committee (JTC) in Tehran on Sunday, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, met with Iran’s Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Seyed Javad Sadati Nejad. The meeting served as a platform for both nations to explore opportunities for strengthening their agricultural sectors and fostering trade relations.
Both Pakistan and Iran recognized the significance of expanding bilateral collaboration in agriculture, a sector that holds immense potential for economic growth and food security. The Adviser briefed the Iranian Minister on Pakistan’s renewed efforts to boost agricultural production through research, innovation, and modern farming techniques. He emphasized that the Government of Pakistan is committed to promoting sustainable agricultural practices to ensure long-term benefits for farmers and consumers alike.
