Karachi, April 30, 2026 — Pakistan produced 2.79 million mobile phones locally in March 2026, marking a strong increase in domestic manufacturing, according to data released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The output reflects a 20% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 2.33 million units produced in March 2025.
Quarterly Production Performance
Cumulatively, Pakistan’s mobile phone manufacturing and assembly reached 7.36 million units during the first quarter (January–March) of 2026, showing a 2% YoY increase.

The data highlights the country’s growing reliance on local production, with 86% of total mobile phone demand met through domestic manufacturing and assembly in 1Q2026.
