Islamabad, November 30, 2025 – The federal government has announced a reduction in petrol and diesel prices for the first fortnight of December 2025, offering relief to consumers amid fluctuating global oil trends. The revised prices, notified by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), will take effect from December 1, 2025.
According to the official statement, the price of petrol (motor spirit) has been reduced by Rs2 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) has witnessed a steeper cut of Rs4.79 per litre. The adjustments were made on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and approved by the relevant ministries.
Revised Fuel Prices (Effective December 1, 2025)
| Product | Existing Price (w.e.f. 16-11-2025) | New Price (w.e.f. 01-12-2025) | Increase/Decrease |
| High Speed Diesel (HSD) | Rs284.44 per litre | Rs278.65 per litre | – Rs4.79 |
| Motor Spirit (Petrol) | Rs265.45 per litre | Rs263.45 per litre | – Rs2.00 |
The latest adjustment sets the petrol price at Rs263.45 per litre for the next fifteen days. Meanwhile, high-speed diesel will be available at Rs278.65 per litre, reflecting the downward revision.
Diesel remains a critical fuel for transportation, agriculture, and industry, and any price change directly impacts logistics and production costs. The government’s decision is expected to lower operational expenses across key economic sectors.
Officials noted that future price revisions will continue to be aligned with global oil market trends, the exchange rate, and the country’s petroleum levy structure.
