Islamabad, December 31, 2025 — Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and current developments.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed Pakistan’s complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia and underscored the importance of maintaining regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy. He emphasized that constructive engagement remains vital to addressing ongoing challenges in the region.

The prime minister also highlighted the need for unity and harmony among the Muslim Ummah in view of the complex geopolitical and economic challenges facing the Islamic world. He reiterated Pakistan’s consistent position in favor of peaceful resolutions and collective efforts to promote stability.

During the warm and cordial exchange, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his respectful regards and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and thanked the Crown Prince for his continued goodwill and affection toward Pakistan.

Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, noting that bilateral ties have reached new heights in recent months across multiple areas of cooperation.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the call and reiterated the Kingdom’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan in all fields of mutual interest. He also expressed his intention to undertake an official visit to Pakistan in the coming year, reflecting the depth and growing momentum of Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations.
