Islamabad, February 15, 2025 – Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic ties, laying the foundation for a prosperous future together.

This renewed pledge came during a high-level meeting between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Saudi Arabia’s Finance Minister, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan.

The significant meeting took place on the sidelines of the Emerging Markets Conference in the historic city of AlUla, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). According to an official press release issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Finance, the discussions centered on enhancing bilateral economic cooperation and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

Minister Al-Jadaan extended a warm welcome to Senator Aurangzeb, highlighting the enduring brotherly ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He reiterated Saudi Arabia’s keenness to collaborate with Pakistan across various economic sectors. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Hamad Mohammed Al Sheikh, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers, along with Khurram Schehzad, Advisor to Pakistan’s Finance Minister.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening trade, investment, and financial collaboration. Pakistan’s Finance Minister highlighted the country’s economic potential and invited Saudi investors to explore emerging opportunities in Pakistan’s infrastructure, energy, technology, and financial sectors.

The leaders discussed the need to implement joint initiatives that would facilitate cross-border investment and encourage private sector engagement. They stressed the importance of sustained dialogue to identify and overcome potential challenges.
