Pakistan Stocks to Observe Five Holidays from June 28

Karachi, June 23, 2023 – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced that trading activities will be suspended for a total of five days, starting from June 28, 2023.

This includes three holidays for Eid ul Azha and the regular weekly holidays.

Initially, the PSX had declared a two-day closure for Eid ul Azha. However, the government revised the holiday schedule, extending the public holidays from June 28 to June 30.

In a statement, the PSX announced the revision, superseding their previous notice issued on June 21st, 2023. The notice informed all TRE Certificate Holders, staff, and concerned parties that the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed from Wednesday, June 28th, 2023, to Friday, June 30th, 2023, in observance of Eid ul Azha Holidays.

Additionally, the stock market will also be closed on July 1st and July 2nd, 2023, in observance of the regular Saturday and Sunday weekend holidays.

During this period, trading activities will come to a halt, and investors are advised to plan their transactions accordingly. The closure of the stock market provides an opportunity for market participants to celebrate Eid ul Azha and spend quality time with family and friends.
