Pakistan Suzuki declares annual loss of Rs6.34 billion

KARACHI: Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company Limited on Monday declared a loss of Rs6.34 billion for the year ended December 31, 2022.

According to annual financial results submitted to Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the motor company announced loss after tax to the tune of Rs6.34 billion for the year 2022 as compared with a profit of Rs2.68 billion in the preceding year.

The company announced Rs77 as loss per share for the year under review as compared with earnings per share of Rs32.56 in the preceding year.

In an announcement, the company said that the board of directors met on March 20, 2023 and approved the audited financial information for the year ended December 31, 2022.

The gross profit of the company recorded at Rs11.68 billion for the year ended December 31, 2022 as compared with Rs8.17 billion in the preceding year.

The company recorded sales of Rs202.46 billion for the year as compared with Rs160.08 billion in the preceding year. Meanwhile, cost of sales stood at Rs190.78 billion for the year ended December 31, 2022 when compared with Rs151.91 billion in the preceding year.

Administrative expenses of the company increased to Rs2.96 billion for the year 2022 as compared with Rs2.48 billion in the preceding year.
