ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will celebrate Eid ul Azha on June 29, 2023, as confirmed by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Monday.
The committee announced the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon in Pakistan, determining that Zil Hajj 01, 1444 A.H, will begin on June 20 (Tuesday), with Eid ul Azha to be observed on June 29 (Thursday).
Following a meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee held at the Met Complex after Maghrib prayers, Chairman Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad announced the decision. He stated that reliable testimonies of the moon sighting were received, affirming that Zil Hajj 01, 1444 A.H, will commence on June 20.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has officially confirmed that Eid ul Azha will be celebrated in Pakistan on June 29, 2023. The sighting of the Zil Hajj moon marks the beginning of the holy month, with the first day of Zil Hajj falling on June 20.
