Pakistan to face Australia, New Zealand in Warm-Up Matches

PCB

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the Men in Green will play warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023 in India.

The PCB had previously expressed a lack of interest in playing a warm-up match against Afghanistan, saying that they would have already faced the neighboring country during the Asia Cup. The Asia Cup will be played in Sri Lanka from August 27 to September 11, 2023.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has accepted the PCB’s stance, and Pakistan’s warm-up matches will now be against New Zealand and Australia on September 29 and October 3 in Hyderabad, India.

This means that Pakistan will not be facing any Asian teams ahead of the World Cup, which will kick off on October 5, 2023.
