The Pakistan men’s cricket team is set to tour Bangladesh twice in 2026, shortly after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, according to an announcement by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Friday.
As per the confirmed schedule, Pakistan will visit Bangladesh in March 2026 for a three-match One Day International (ODI) series following the conclusion of the T20 World Cup. The two sides will then meet again in May 2026 for a two-match Test series, which will form part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 cycle.
Bangladesh Announces Busy Home International Season 2026
The BCB has unveiled a packed home international calendar for the 2026 season, featuring four Test matches, 12 ODIs, and nine T20 Internationals. The season will begin in March with Pakistan’s ODI tour, marking the start of a long stretch of international cricket on Bangladeshi soil.
Pakistan’s return in May for the Test series will be a key component of Bangladesh’s WTC commitments for the 2025–27 cycle.
“The confirmed itinerary ensures a season full of international cricket in Bangladesh, providing supporters across the country the opportunity to watch top-level cricket at home,” the BCB said, adding that match venues will be announced later.
New Zealand, Australia, India Also Scheduled to Tour
Between Pakistan’s two visits, New Zealand will tour Bangladesh in April and May 2026 for a full white-ball series, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is.
Later in the season, Australia is scheduled to visit in June, followed by India in August and September, with both teams set to play three ODIs and three T20Is each.
Season to End with West Indies Test Series
Bangladesh’s home season will conclude in October and November 2026 with a two-match Test series against the West Indies, also part of the ICC World Test Championship.
Ahead of the series, Bangladesh will host a three-day warm-up match from October 22 to 24. The first Test will be played from October 28 to November 1, while the second Test is scheduled from November 5 to 9.
Sri Lanka A Tour in May 2026
In addition to full international fixtures, the Sri Lanka A team will tour Bangladesh in May 2026. The tour will include two four-day matches and three one-day games, further adding to Bangladesh’s busy cricketing calendar.
The comprehensive schedule highlights Bangladesh’s growing role as a major host nation in international cricket during the 2026 season.
