A continental air mass dominates most parts of Pakistan. However, a westerly wave is expected to enter the western and northern areas from Friday, bringing chances of precipitation in hilly regions.

Mostly cold and dry conditions prevailed across the country, while very cold and partly cloudy weather affected hilly areas. Moderate to dense fog continued over Punjab, upper Sindh, and the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, impacting morning visibility.

Friday Forecast:

Rain and snowfall are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, while the rest of the country will experience cold and dry weather. Fog is likely to persist in Punjab, upper Sindh, and plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Frost may occur at isolated locations in Pothohar, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir during morning hours.
