Islamabad, February 10, 2026 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday forecast mainly cold and dry weather across most parts of the country for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, with very cold and partly cloudy conditions expected in hilly areas, including Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the PMD, Islamabad and its adjoining areas will experience cold and dry weather. Similar conditions are likely to prevail in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the upper districts will remain very cold and partly cloudy.

In Punjab, cold and dry weather is expected in most areas. However, Murree, Galiyat and surrounding regions are likely to remain very cold and dry. Sindh will witness mainly dry conditions, whereas most parts of Balochistan are expected to experience cold and dry weather, with very cold conditions during the morning and night in the northern districts.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are forecast to remain very cold with partly cloudy skies.

The Met Office reported that during the past 24 hours, rain accompanied by snowfall over the hills occurred in upper Punjab, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed elsewhere.

Significant rainfall was recorded in Muzaffarabad (32 mm), Garhi Dupatta (15 mm) and Rawalakot (11 mm). In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kakul received 20 mm, Pattan 17 mm and Balakot 16 mm, while Murree recorded 15 mm. Several localities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi also received moderate rainfall.

Snowfall of three inches was recorded in Malam Jabba, while Kalam and Murree received around one inch each.

The lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Leh at minus 9 degrees Celsius, followed by Astore at minus 7 and Kalam at minus 5. Skardu, Gupis and Malam Jabba recorded minus 3 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 17 degrees Celsius in Islamabad and Quetta, 23 in Lahore and Faisalabad, 24 in Multan, and 29 in Karachi. Colder conditions will persist in northern regions including Murree, Skardu and Gilgit.

The PMD has advised citizens, particularly those in mountainous areas, to take precautionary measures against severe cold and possible slippery conditions due to snowfall.
