Pakistan Weather

Karachi, September 12, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released its latest weather forecast for Saturday, September 13, 2025, highlighting dry conditions across much of the country with only limited chances of rainfall in a few northern areas.

According to the PMD, continental air is currently dominating most regions, while weak monsoon currents are making their way into the upper parts of the country. On Friday, mainly dry weather was reported across Pakistan. However, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas experienced partly cloudy skies, with light rain and isolated thunderstorms at a few locations.

For Saturday, the PMD predicts that hot and dry weather will prevail in most districts. Once again, Kashmir and nearby mountainous regions may see partly cloudy conditions, with chances of evening or nighttime showers accompanied by thunderstorms at isolated spots.

The advisory also noted that hot and dry weather is likely to continue over the flood-affected areas of Punjab during the coming days, which may intensify the challenges faced by residents already coping with recovery efforts.

In the past 24 hours, dry conditions dominated most of Pakistan, though light rain was recorded in Thatta (04 mm) and Lasbella (02 mm). Maximum daytime temperatures remained high, with Nokundi and Dalbandin at 42°C, Chilas at 41°C, and Bunji at 40°C.

The PMD advised citizens, particularly those in heat-prone regions, to take precautionary measures against rising temperatures.
