Islamabad, November 30, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its latest weather outlook, forecasting cold and dry conditions across most regions for the next two days.

Northern and hilly areas are expected to experience very cold temperatures, especially during night and early morning hours. The PMD also cautioned that smog and fog may intensify over the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the PMD, a broad stretch of continental air continues to dominate much of Pakistan’s weather pattern. Meanwhile, a weak westerly wave is affecting extreme northern areas, contributing to further cooling, especially in upper mountainous regions.

Cold and dry weather is expected across the country. Hilly regions will remain extremely cold at night. Smog and fog—appearing in scattered patches—may form over several plain districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during early morning and nighttime.

Monday Forecast

Similar cold and dry conditions will persist nationwide. Hilly areas will face freezing temperatures, while smog and fog are likely to recur over lowland areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during morning and night hours.

Additional Outlook

The PMD anticipates a further decline in both daytime and nighttime temperatures in northern Pakistan in the coming days. Fog intensity in Punjab and KP plains is also expected to gradually increase.
