The Pakistan women’s cricket team is preparing for a high-stakes and action-filled 2025–26 international season, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced an extensive calendar featuring participation in two major ICC tournaments—the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
This packed schedule reflects the PCB’s growing investment in women’s cricket and their ambition to compete at the highest level.
The international season will begin in August 2025 with a three-match T20I series against Ireland in Dublin. This tour will serve as an important early opportunity to assess team form.
Soon after, Pakistan will host South Africa for a three-match ODI series in mid-September, a critical fixture in their buildup to the World Cup.
Pakistan’s place in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 has already been secured through strong qualifying performances.
The team will travel to Sri Lanka to play seven league-stage matches between October 2 and 24. The squad will aim to reach the semi-finals scheduled for October 29, with hopes of making it to the final on November 2.
After the conclusion of the 50-over World Cup, Pakistan will move into the new cycle of the ICC Women’s Championship. They are scheduled to tour South Africa in February–March 2026 for a series consisting of three ODIs and three T20Is. This tour will be followed by a home series against Zimbabwe in April–May 2026, also featuring three ODIs and three T20Is.
To sharpen their skills ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan will take part in a tri-nation T20I series in Ireland, playing against both the host nation and the West Indies.
The international season will conclude with their participation in the T20 World Cup, set to take place in England from June 12 to July 5, 2026.
The PCB’s Head of Women’s Cricket, Rafia Haider, reportedly stressed the importance of this season, noting that the carefully planned calendar would allow the national team to prepare thoroughly by playing competitive international cricket in various conditions.
The upcoming season promises excitement for fans and marks a defining chapter in Pakistan’s pursuit of excellence in women’s cricket.
