Pakistan Women delivered a record-breaking performance to defeat Zimbabwe Women by 206 runs in the second ODI, securing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series and extending their unbeaten home record against the African side.

The series forms part of the ICC Women’s Championship, and the result marked Pakistan’s biggest-ever victory in women’s One-Day Internationals.

Pakistan posted a commanding total of 343 for 4, their highest ODI score at home, after openers Gull Feroza and Sadaf Shamas produced a record 189-run partnership. Both batters scored maiden ODI centuries, with Feroza striking a rapid hundred off just 93 balls — the fastest century by a Pakistan women’s player, surpassing Sidra Amin’s previous record.

Middle-order contributions from Sidra Amin (59*), Fatima Sana (25), and Aliya Riaz (27) ensured a strong finish to the innings.

In reply, Zimbabwe struggled from the outset, losing early wickets and never recovering in the chase. Despite resistance from Kelis Ndhlovu, Beloved Biza, and Runyararo Pasipanodya, the visitors were bowled out for 137.

Captain Fatima Sana led the bowling attack with impressive figures of 3 for 15, supported by Syeda Aroob Shah (2/18), Rameen Shamim (2/20), and Momina Riasat (2/39).

The dominant win provides a major confidence boost for Pakistan ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

The final ODI of the series will be played in Karachi on May 9 in a day-night encounter.
