Pakistani Exporters Strengthen Trade Prospects in Saudi Arabia

Islamabad, March 26, 2025 – A delegation of Pakistani exporters has returned home after a highly productive month-long visit to Saudi Arabia, where they explored new trade opportunities and deepened business ties.

The visit aimed to enhance economic collaboration between the two nations and create lucrative prospects for Pakistani exporters in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding market.

The delegation, led by Coordinator to the Federal Tax Ombudsman, Saif Ur Rehman, engaged in extensive B2B meetings and discussions with corporate leaders in Saudi Arabia. These interactions resulted in several strategic partnerships and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between Pakistani exporters and Saudi firms, paving the way for long-term trade agreements.

According to the delegation, there is a rising demand for Pakistani food products in Saudi Arabia, particularly in the snacks and processed food sectors. This aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify imports and strengthen food security. Saif Ur Rehman emphasized that this visit was a milestone for Pakistan’s export industry, stating, “This collaboration will open new avenues for Pakistani exporters, ensuring greater market access and fostering economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.”

The successful business engagements are expected to significantly boost Pakistan’s export revenue while reinforcing trade relations with Saudi Arabia. The delegation highlighted that Pakistani exporters were well-positioned to meet the growing demands of the Saudi market due to their high-quality products and competitive pricing.

To sustain the momentum generated by this visit, follow-up engagements are already being planned. Pakistani exporters aim to expand their presence in Saudi Arabia through participation in upcoming trade fairs and direct collaborations with Saudi importers and distributors. The government of Pakistan has also pledged its full support to facilitate smoother trade channels and encourage more exporters to explore opportunities in Saudi Arabia.

With Saudi Arabia emerging as a key trading partner, Pakistani exporters are optimistic about long-term business growth. Strengthening ties with Saudi Arabia will not only benefit Pakistan’s economy but also position its exporters as major contributors to the kingdom’s evolving food market.
