Pamela Anderson has spoken candidly about an uneasy moment she experienced at the Golden Globes, revealing that seeing actor and producer Seth Rogen at the ceremony resurfaced painful emotions connected to the controversial Pam & Tommy miniseries.
In an interview on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, the Golden Globe nominee addressed speculation that she left the awards show early. Anderson clarified that her decision to exit was intentional and emotionally driven, not abrupt.
“At the Golden Globes, for instance, I didn’t leave early. I left after my award, and I went right to bed,” Anderson explained, adding that being near Rogen made her uncomfortable during the event.
The tension traces back to Hulu’s 2022 limited series Pam & Tommy, which dramatized the theft and distribution of Anderson’s private 1995 tape with her former husband, Tommy Lee. Rogen served as an executive producer on the project and also portrayed Rand Gauthier, the man responsible for stealing and selling the tape.
Anderson has repeatedly stated that she was never consulted about the series, a fact that continues to trouble her. “Seth Rogen, he did that [miniseries] on me without talking to me,” she said. “How can someone make a TV series out of difficult times in your life? I’m a living, breathing human being.”
She also revealed that Rogen was seated close to her during the Golden Globes ceremony. “He was in the pit at the Golden Globes, so we were close,” Anderson said. “I just felt a little bit weird about it.”
Despite staying busy professionally and working on five films over the past year, Anderson admitted that moments tied to her past can still surface unexpectedly. She expressed hope that Rogen may eventually acknowledge her feelings and offer an apology, though she noted it may not change how she feels.
Reflecting more broadly, Anderson criticized the entertainment industry’s tendency to turn deeply personal experiences into content. She stressed that “the darkest, deepest secrets or tragedies in your life shouldn’t be fair game for a TV series,” adding that the situation still frustrates her.
While Rogen enjoyed a successful night at the Golden Globes, with his Apple TV+ series The Studio winning Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy and Best Actor, Anderson’s remarks underscore that the emotional impact of Pam & Tommy remains unresolved for her.
