Paris Jackson, daughter of the late pop icon Michael Jackson, has candidly revealed one of the serious physical effects she suffered from past drug abuse — a hole in her nose.
In a recent video shared on social media, the 27-year-old singer admitted that her drug use led to a perforated septum, a medical condition where a hole forms in the tissue separating the nostrils.
“I never realized I never addressed this, and it can sometimes be very noticeable,” Jackson said. “I have a really loud whistle when I breathe through my nose, and that’s because I have what’s called a perforated septum.”
During the clip — which was reposted by a TikTok fan account on Sunday — Jackson used her phone’s flashlight to give viewers a glimpse inside her nostril, showing a visible tunnel caused by the damage.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, a perforated septum can occur due to drug use, but it may also result from nasal steroid sprays, injuries, autoimmune diseases, or chemical exposure.
The singer concluded her video with a heartfelt message directed at young viewers, saying, “Do not use drugs, kids.”
Her candid confession has sparked conversations online, with fans praising her for raising awareness about the hidden dangers of substance abuse and her ongoing journey toward recovery.
