PCB announces squad for Bangladesh T20I series

Lahore, July 8, 2025 – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, scheduled to take place from July 20 to July 24, 2025.

The T20I series will be held at the iconic Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, marking another high-stakes contest in the build-up to Pakistan’s international white-ball calendar.

Salman Ali Agha has been retained as captain and will lead the squad in all three T20I matches against Bangladesh. The selectors have opted for a balanced mix of experience and youthful energy, with familiar faces such as Fakhar Zaman, Faheem Ashraf, and Mohammad Nawaz returning to the T20I fold. Promising talents like Hassan Nawaz, Mohammad Haris, and Saim Ayub also continue to be part of Pakistan’s evolving T20I strategy.

The T20I series against Bangladesh is expected to provide critical exposure and match practice for Pakistan ahead of future international assignments. Bangladesh, known for its strong performances in home conditions, will present a significant challenge for the visiting side. Team management for the tour includes an experienced support crew. Mike Hesson will continue his role as head coach, with Ashley Noffke as bowling coach and Muhammad Hanif Malik serving as batting coach. Shane McDermott is responsible for fielding, while Cliffe Deacon handles physiotherapy and Grant Luden oversees strength and conditioning. The support staff also includes a media manager, security officer, doctor, and masseur to ensure smooth operations during the Bangladesh T20I tour.

While the squad for the West Indies white-ball series is yet to be announced, the focus remains firmly on the Bangladesh T20I contest. With rising competition for places and upcoming global tournaments on the horizon, this T20I series offers an important platform for Pakistan’s players to prove their mettle in Dhaka and strengthen their spots in the national setup.
