The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled an extensive international schedule for the 2024-25 season, promising an exhilarating year of cricket for enthusiasts worldwide.
The itinerary includes a rich home season featuring significant Test series and a prominent ODI tri-series, as well as a formidable away tour schedule.
Home Season Highlights:
Test Match Focus: Pakistan’s home season will see a total of seven Test matches, with Bangladesh, England, and the West Indies as visitors. The action begins in August with a two-Test series against Bangladesh.
This will be followed by a highly anticipated three-Test series against England in October. The home Test season will conclude with a two-match series against the West Indies in January.
Preparation for the Champions Trophy: In the lead-up to the prestigious ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which Pakistan is set to host, the country will organize a historic ODI tri-series in February, featuring New Zealand and South Africa.
This event offers an invaluable opportunity for the Pakistani team to sharpen their skills against top-tier opponents, ensuring they are well-prepared for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
Away Tours:
Testing Times Ahead: From November to January, Pakistan will undertake a demanding away tour schedule, including trips to Australia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.
This three-month cricketing marathon will feature nine ODIs, nine T20Is, and two Test matches, ensuring non-stop cricket action and providing the team with significant international exposure.
Boxing Day Spectacle: The away tour will reach its climax with the much-anticipated Boxing Day Test match against South Africa at the legendary Centurion ground. This fixture is expected to be a highlight of the season, drawing significant attention from cricket fans around the world.
