Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, June 7, 2025 – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Pakistan and the entire Islamic world on the blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, emphasizing the importance of sacrifice, unity, and compassion in shaping a better future for all.

In his message on Eid-ul-Adha 1446 Hijri, the Prime Minister said, “I felicitate from the depths of my heart the entire Pakistani nation and the broader Muslim Ummah on the sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, as well as the glorious Islamic ritual of Hajj.”

Reflecting on the profound lessons behind Eid-ul-Adha, the Prime Minister highlighted the extraordinary devotion of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), whose unwavering faith and obedience were so beloved to Allah Almighty that their actions were granted the status of worship. “Their example teaches us that real success comes through sincere sacrifice and devotion,” he said.

Shehbaz Sharif reminded the nation that Eid-ul-Adha is not merely about animal sacrifice but carries a deeper message — to sacrifice our egos, desires, and personal interests for collective good. “This noble occasion instills in us the spirit of patience, courage, and selflessness, which is the true foundation of a resilient and united nation,” he added.

He noted that Pakistan is on a crucial path of progress, and the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha calls for national solidarity and shared responsibility. “Just like the nation stood united during times of external aggression, we must now unite to overcome our internal challenges and fulfill our economic and social duties,” he said.

The Prime Minister also urged citizens to remember the oppressed people of Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that their struggles should remain close to our hearts during this sacred time. “We stand in unwavering solidarity with them and pledge to always be their voice,” he stated.

Shehbaz Sharif concluded with a powerful message: “Let us vow to create a Pakistan based on love, brotherhood, and unity. The true message of Eid-ul-Adha is to place the nation above ourselves and work together for a prosperous future. May Allah grant us the strength to live by the true spirit of Eid-ul-Adha.”
