Islamabad, February 14, 2026 – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched the Ramazan Relief Package 2026 on Saturday, providing financial assistance to over 12.1 million households across Pakistan. Under this initiative, each household will receive Rs13,000 via digital wallets during the holy month of Ramadan.
At the launch ceremony, PM Shehbaz highlighted the challenges faced by the government while preparing the programme, including limited digital infrastructure, coordination with banks, and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) requirements.
“This year, Rs38 billion has been allocated for this purpose,” said PM Shehbaz.
The relief package will cover deserving families across all four provinces, as well as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, ensuring payments are made securely through digital wallets and bank accounts. In addition, the stipend allocation has been increased to Rs10 billion this year to support vulnerable families.
PM Shehbaz emphasized that this is the largest federal-level effort during Ramadan in terms of both volume and outreach. He added that periodic reviews will be conducted to ensure the Rs38 billion are properly distributed to beneficiaries.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to international partners for their contributions and interest in supporting the initiative, stating:
“Together, we will achieve this landmark this month.”
The Ramazan Relief Package 2026 is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to support low-income households, promote digital financial inclusion, and ensure timely assistance during the holy month of Ramadan.
