Islamabad, October 12, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a noticeable shift in weather patterns for Karachi, predicting colder nights in the days ahead as the metropolis transitions toward pre-winter conditions.
According to the latest advisory, Karachi will continue to experience hot and dry days for the next 24 hours, but nights are expected to become cooler as winds have shifted direction and are now blowing from the northeast. The PMD stated that this wind change marks the start of a gradual decline in nighttime temperatures across the city.
Meteorologists recorded a minimum temperature of 24.3°C and forecast that daytime highs could reach up to 35°C. The humidity level in Karachi was measured at around 78%, which, according to the department, will gradually decrease as the season progresses.
Weather experts noted that the onset of cooler nights indicates the beginning of the city’s transition into the winter season. The PMD added that there are minimal chances of rain in October and November, and no significant rainfall activity is expected for now.
Earlier this month, on October 6, light to moderate showers were recorded in several parts of Karachi, including North Karachi, Nazimabad, Buffer Zone, and Baldia Town. The rainfall briefly turned the weather pleasant and brought relief from persistent heat, followed by cool breezes that hinted at the approaching seasonal change.
