Islamabad, February 12, 2026 — The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold and dry weather across most parts of the country on Friday, February 13, 2026, with very cold conditions expected in hilly and northern regions during early morning and night hours.

According to the PMD, hilly areas will remain partly cloudy, while light rain and light snowfall may occur at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, including parts of the upper mountainous belt. The weather outlook suggests that the ongoing cold and dry spell is likely to persist over the coming days.

Regional Weather Outlook

In Islamabad and adjoining areas, weather is expected to remain dry and cold, particularly during early morning and nighttime. Gusty winds may blow during daytime hours, adding to the chill factor.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will experience cold and dry conditions in most districts, while upper districts are likely to remain very cold during morning and night. Partly cloudy skies are forecast in northern areas, where light rain or snowfall may occur in Chitral, Dir, Swat, and nearby localities.

In Punjab, dry weather will prevail across most districts, with cold temperatures during early morning and night. Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas are expected to remain cold and dry, while central and southern districts may experience gusty winds during the daytime.

Sindh will continue to witness mainly dry weather, while Balochistan is expected to remain partly cloudy and dry in most districts, with cold conditions in northern parts during morning and night hours.

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the PMD has predicted cold and partly cloudy weather, with very cold conditions during early morning and night. Gilgit-Baltistan may see partly cloudy skies along with light rain and snowfall at isolated locations.
