PMD forecasts cold mornings and nights in Murree

Pakistan Weather

Islamabad, October 9, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast colder mornings and nights for Murree and nearby hill stations over the coming days.

The famous tourist destination Murree is expected to experience chilly weather as continental air continues to dominate most parts of the country.

According to the PMD, Thursday will bring mainly dry weather across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with Murree, Galiyat, and adjoining areas remaining dry and cold, especially during early morning and late-night hours. On Friday, dry conditions are likely to persist, but temperatures are expected to drop further, making Murree noticeably colder compared to the plains.

The national weather outlook indicates that continental air is prevailing over most regions of Pakistan, resulting in clear skies and reduced humidity levels. Hilly regions, including Murree, may witness a sharp fall in temperature after sunset, urging tourists and locals to take precautions against the cold.

During the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed across most areas, while upper hilly regions experienced a noticeable chill. Light rainfall was recorded in Kalam (1mm), while the highest maximum temperature of 35°C was reported from Turbat, Mithi, Chhor, Tando Jam, and Shaheed Benazirabad.

Overall, the PMD suggests that the next few days will remain dry nationwide, with colder mornings and nights dominating Pakistan’s hill stations, particularly Murree.
