PMD Forecasts Dry Weather Across Pakistan for March 15

Islamabad, March 14, 2024 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast for dry weather across the country on Friday, March 15, 2024.

According to the PMD’s weather forecast, mainly dry conditions are expected in most parts of the country, with cold weather prevailing in the upper regions.

On Thursday, similar weather conditions persisted, with dry weather prevailing across most parts of the country and cold, partly cloudy conditions observed in the upper regions.

Explaining the synoptic situation, the PMD reported that continental air masses are prevailing over most areas of the country.

During the past 24 hours, rainfall and thunderstorms, with snowfall over mountains, occurred in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Conversely, dry weather prevailed in other parts of the country.

Rainfall was recorded in various regions, including Muzaffarabad (Airport 40mm, City 35mm), Garhi Dupatta 39mm, Rawalakot 38mm, Kotli 25mm, and Patan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 33mm. Snowfall was also reported in Kalam and Malam Jabba with 2 inches each.

The lowest minimum temperatures recorded today were in Leh and Kalam at -07°C, followed by Malam Jabba and Kalat at -02°C, and Gupis and Bagrote at 00°C.
