Islamabad, November 20, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released the latest minimum temperature readings recorded across the country on Thursday, along with an updated synoptic and weather forecast.
The newly issued data shows a sharp drop in temperatures in the northern and high-altitude regions as winter conditions intensify.

Synoptic Overview
According to the PMD, most parts of Pakistan remain under the influence of continental air, with a weak westerly wave impacting the extreme upper regions. This pattern is expected to maintain dry and cold conditions across much of the country.
Thursday Forecast
Cold and dry weather is expected nationwide, with very cold nights in hilly areas. Gilgit-Baltistan may experience cloudy conditions with chances of light rain or snowfall. Smog and shallow fog are likely to develop in the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly during morning and night hours.
Friday Forecast
Similar cold and dry conditions will prevail on Friday, with hilly regions facing freezing morning and night temperatures. Light rain or snow may continue in Gilgit-Baltistan, while smog and fog patches persist in Punjab and KP plains.

The PMD reported mainly dry weather across the country, with cold to very cold conditions in northern and hilly regions. Smog and fog remained present in parts of Punjab and KP.
