Islamabad, February 21, 2026 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather alert for Sindh, warning residents of a gradual rise in temperatures across the province over the weekend.

According to the PMD, Saturday will witness dry weather in most districts of Sindh, with daytime temperatures gradually climbing. Afternoon gusty winds are also expected in several areas, increasing the risk of dust storms in open regions. Sunday is expected to follow a similar pattern, with dry conditions persisting and temperatures continuing to rise across the province.

At the national level, a continental air mass is prevailing over most parts of the country, leading to generally dry weather. While Sindh and other southern regions will experience warmer conditions, northern parts of the country will remain cold, particularly during night and early morning hours.

In the past 24 hours, weather remained dry in most regions, although very cold conditions were recorded in northern areas. The lowest minimum temperatures were observed as follows: Leh at -7°C, Skardu and Astore at -3°C, Bagrote at -1°C, and Gupis at 0°C.

The PMD has advised citizens to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours, and take precautions against dust and gusty winds. Farmers and outdoor workers have been urged to adjust schedules to cope with the rising daytime temperatures, while residents in northern areas are reminded to take measures against cold nighttime conditions.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation, and updated forecasts will be issued regularly to help communities prepare for changing weather patterns.
