Most plain areas expected to remain hot and humid, while northern hilly regions may see partly cloudy conditions

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather across most plain areas of the country on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

According to the PMD’s latest weather forecast, partly cloudy conditions are expected in the northern hilly areas.

The same weather pattern was observed on Monday, September 7, when hot and humid conditions prevailed across most parts of the country, while northern hilly areas experienced partly cloudy weather.

Rain reported in three areas

During the past 24 hours, weather remained hot and humid across most parts of Pakistan. However, rain, wind and thunderstorms were reported in Sahiwal, Kasur and Barkhan.

The PMD recorded 2 millimetres of rainfall in Sahiwal, 1mm in Kasur and 2mm in Barkhan.

Despite the isolated rainfall, temperatures remained high in several parts of the country.

Sibi records highest temperature

The highest maximum temperature during the past 24 hours was recorded in Sibi at 43°C, followed by Dadu at 41°C.

The PMD advised residents in areas experiencing hot and humid conditions to take necessary precautions against the heat, particularly during peak daytime hours.

Residents are advised to remain hydrated, avoid prolonged daytime exposure, and follow official weather updates as conditions may change.
