Karachi, December 22, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Monday released its daily shipping activity report to keep port users, shipping agents, and trade stakeholders informed about vessel movements during the last 24 hours. The report was updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and provides an overview of ongoing maritime operations at one of Pakistan’s busiest seaports.
According to PQA officials, port operations remained smooth with the handling of several energy and bulk cargo vessels, reflecting stable import and export activity. The authority confirmed the sailing of oil tanker M.T. Margarita, registered with PQA under number 36740. The vessel, measuring 228 meters in length overall, departed from the FOTCO berth after completing the discharge of 45,869 metric tonnes of gas oil. The ship maintained an aft and forward draft of 11.50 meters and sailed at 2:30 PM under the agency of Trans Maritime.
In addition, multiple vessels were reported to have berthed at different terminals of Port Qasim during the reporting period. The LNG carrier M.T. Al Wakrah, with a length overall of 297 meters, berthed at the Engro Elengy Terminal Limited (EETL) to discharge 135,740 metric tonnes of liquefied natural gas, strengthening the country’s energy supply. The vessel arrived at 2:00 PM and was handled by GSA (Private) Limited.
Container and general cargo activity also remained steady. M.V. Eleni T berthed at QICT-VII, while M.T. MSC Shanelle V arrived at QT2-II later in the day. Meanwhile, M.T. AN 61 docked at EVTL with a shipment of 3,245 metric tonnes of LPG, and bulk carrier M.V. Mandarin Phoenix berthed at PIBT carrying 55,635 metric tonnes of coal.
Port authorities stated that cargo handling operations continued as per schedule, advising stakeholders to stay updated as vessel timings and berth allocations may change due to operational requirements.
