Karachi, February 8, 2026 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Sunday released its daily shipping activity report to facilitate importers, exporters, shipping agents, and other stakeholders. The report, updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST), provides a detailed overview of vessel movements recorded during the past 24 hours at one of Pakistan’s busiest maritime gateways.
According to PQA, several vessels sailed from the port carrying a diverse range of commodities, including coal, palm oil, high sulphur fuel oil (HSFO), and sand. Among the notable departures were bulk carriers transporting large coal consignments to meet domestic energy and industrial demand, as well as tankers loaded with palm oil and fuel oil destined for regional markets. These sailings reflect steady operational activity and sustained trade flows through the port.
Meanwhile, berthing operations remained equally active, with multiple vessels docking to unload essential imports. Ships carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), coal, palm oil, and gas oil berthed at various terminals throughout the day. The arrival of energy-related cargoes, particularly LPG and gas oil, is expected to support industrial operations and ensure stable fuel supplies across the country.
Port officials stated that smooth berthing and sailing operations were maintained across all terminals, highlighting the port’s operational efficiency and effective coordination among shipping agents, terminal operators, and port authorities.
The daily shipping activity report serves as a key reference for logistics planners and traders, enabling them to monitor cargo flows, optimize supply chains, and plan shipments effectively. Port Qasim continues to play a vital role in Pakistan’s trade and economic activity, handling a significant share of the nation’s imports and exports.
