Karachi, March 4, 2026 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily shipping activity report for Wednesday, providing key updates on vessel movements, cargo handling, and berth occupancy at Port Qasim.
The report, updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT), covers vessel movements and cargo operations over the previous 24 hours to keep shipping lines, importers, exporters, and logistics stakeholders informed.
Ships Berthed for Loading and Offloading
During the last 24 hours, four vessels berthed at different terminals to load and discharge cargo:
• Team Focus at Multi-Purpose Terminal (Rice)
• Grand ACE-10 at FOTCO Oil Terminal (H.S.F.O)
• AM Ocean Silver at Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal (Coal)
• Venus Halo at Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (Coal)
These vessels handled key commodities including rice, high-sulfur fuel oil (HSFO), and coal, reflecting continued activity in Pakistan’s energy and bulk cargo sectors.
Vessels at Outer Anchorage
Three additional ships — Henry Well, Sheng Li, and Fortune Legacy — arrived at outer anchorage the same day. These vessels are scheduled to handle rice, iron ore, and soybean seed cargo.
Currently, 13 ships are anchored at Port Qasim’s outer anchorage awaiting berthing instructions.
Vessel Departures and Expected Sailings
A total of 10 ships were engaged at PQA berths over the past 24 hours. Of these, four vessels — Nikolas-D, MD-23, Al-Hamla, and Astro Merope — sailed out of the port earlier this morning.
Meanwhile, two ships — Banglar Agrajatra and CMA CGM Rimbaud — are expected to depart later today.
Cargo Handling Volume
Port Qasim handled a total cargo volume of 136,190 tonnes during the last 24 hours, including:
• 102,070 tonnes of imports
• 34,120 tonnes of exports
Containerized cargo stood at 1,011 containers, comprising 50 TEUs of imports and 961 TEUs of exports, indicating strong export container activity.
Expected Berthing Today
Out of the 13 ships at outer anchorage, six vessels — Himalia, Scion Charlotte, Navigator Celtic, Navigator Aries, Hansa Europe, and CMA CGM Rimbaud — carrying palm oil, canola seed, LPG, and containers are expected to berth at:
• LCT
• FAP
• EVTL
• SSGC
• QICT
The daily shipping report highlights steady maritime trade activity at Port Qasim, one of Pakistan’s busiest commercial ports, playing a vital role in handling bulk, energy, and containerized cargo for the country.
