KARACHI, February 9, 2026 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Monday released its daily shipping operations report to facilitate shipping lines, importers, exporters, and other stakeholders involved in maritime trade.

According to PQA, the report was updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST), covering vessel movements over the past 24 hours at one of Pakistan’s busiest commercial ports.

Sailing of vessels

During the reporting period, two vessels departed from Port Qasim, carrying major import consignments. The tanker M.T-Richland Singapore, registered under PQA number 36915, sailed with a cargo of 69,692 metric tons of soybean seed, handled by Eastwind Shipping from the FAP berth. The vessel had a length overall (LOA) of 228 meters and departed at 12:15 PM.

Another vessel, M.T-Kathrine Kosan (PQA Reg No. 37000), carrying 5,400 metric tons of ethylene, sailed from the EVTL berth at 3:00 PM under the agency of Al-Pine Marine. The ship measured 126 meters in length.

Berthing of vessels

A total of five vessels berthed at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours, including container ships, general cargo vessels, and an LPG carrier.

Among the arrivals, M.V-Albert P berthed at QICT-VII at 2:30 PM, while M.V-Ming Qiang Xing, a container vessel, arrived at QT2-I at 2:45 PM. Another large container ship, M.V-MSC Unific VI, berthed at QT2-II at 3:00 PM.

Additionally, the LPG carrier M.T-Galaxy Gas docked at the EVTL berth at 6:00 PM, carrying 3,417 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), under the agency of Universal Shipping. The general cargo vessel M.V-Lilas Calm also berthed at PIBT at 6:00 PM.

Shifting of vessels

During the same period, M.V-Astro Nembus (PQA Reg No. 36925), carrying 57,151 metric tons of soybean seed, was shifted from the outer anchorage to an inner berth under the supervision of Al-Pine Marine at 12:00 midnight to facilitate smooth cargo operations.

Operational outlook

Port officials said that cargo handling and vessel movements remained smooth, supported by favorable weather conditions and coordinated port operations. The authority reiterated its commitment to ensuring efficient turnaround times, safe navigation, and uninterrupted trade flows through the port.

Port Qasim plays a vital role in Pakistan’s maritime trade, handling a significant share of the country’s imports and exports, including energy products, food commodities, containers, and industrial raw materials.
