Karachi, January 5, 2026 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily shipping operations update for Monday, January 5, 2026, providing stakeholders with detailed information on vessel movements, cargo handling, and port activities over the past 24 hours. The report was updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

According to the PQA, two vessels, G. Washington Bridge and Bering Gas, berthed at the Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT) and Engro Vopak Terminal, respectively, on Sunday. In addition, five more ships — Snarth, Ullswater, Stolt Argon, Kathrine Kosan, and Coal — carrying palm oil, LPG, chemicals, and coal anchored at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours.

A total of six ships were operational at PQA berths over the past day. Among them, the container ship G. Washington Bridge departed the port Monday morning, while Asia Inspire and Bering Gas are scheduled to sail on Monday afternoon.

The port handled a cargo volume of 47,962 tonnes, including 30,271 tonnes of imports and 17,691 tonnes of exports, transported in 1,162 containers — 426 TEUs imports and 736 TEUs exports.

Currently, 16 ships are at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. Of these, Floyen, Stolt Argon, Pacific Apex, and Seaspan Santos — carrying palm oil, chemicals, coal, and containers — are expected to berth at LCT, EVTL, PIBT, and QICT terminals on Monday.

The PQA continues to ensure smooth vessel operations, timely cargo handling, and efficient port management, which play a critical role in facilitating trade and supply chain operations in Pakistan.
