Karachi, January 8, 2026 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Thursday released its daily shipping operations report to keep stakeholders informed about vessel movements and port activities. The report was updated at 8:00 AM and covers shipping operations carried out during the past 24 hours.

According to the Port Qasim Authority, several vessels sailed from the port after completing cargo operations. Among them was M.V. Bulk Bolivia, which departed carrying a large consignment of soybean seed, reflecting steady demand for agricultural imports. Another vessel, M.V. Kouros Diamond, sailed with a cement export cargo, highlighting continued activity in the construction materials sector. Chemical shipments also remained active, as M.T. Stolt Argon departed after loading phosphoric acid, while M.V. Hansa Africa sailed following container handling operations at the Qasim International Container Terminal.

The report further noted the berthing of multiple vessels at various terminals of the port. Container vessel M.V. MSC Tia V berthed at the Qasim Terminal to handle containerized cargo. In the bulk segment, M.V. Semiha Ahmet-M arrived with a rice export consignment, indicating ongoing agricultural exports. Additionally, M.T. Kathrine Kosan berthed to load ethylene, underscoring the port’s role in facilitating chemical trade. Another vessel, M.V. Nikolos, also reported berthing at the Pakistan International Bulk Terminal.

In addition to arrivals and departures, internal vessel shifting operations were carried out to ensure smooth cargo handling. M.V. Propel Shakti was shifted from the outer anchorage to a designated berth for soybean seed operations.

Port officials stated that routine vessel movements and timely updates are essential for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting Pakistan’s import-export activities through Port Qasim.
