Karachi, April 2, 2026 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its daily shipping operations report for Thursday, highlighting steady maritime activity and efficient cargo handling at one of Pakistan’s key ports.
According to the report, the port handled a total cargo volume of 109,856 tons over the past 24 hours, comprising 58,365 tons of import cargo and 51,491 tons of export cargo. The operations also included the movement of 2,428 containers, reflecting strong trade activity at the terminal.
Two vessels, CMA CGM Ganges and Solar Catie, carrying containerized goods and palm oil, berthed at the Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal, respectively. In addition, two more ships, Liefde and Fairchem Katana, arrived at outer anchorage carrying soybean seeds and bunkering cargo.
During the reporting period, seven ships were actively engaged at PQA berths. Among them, the container vessel CMA CGM Ganges completed its operations and departed on Thursday morning, while another ship, Bao Shun, was expected to sail later in the day.
At the outer anchorage, nine vessels were awaiting berthing. Three ships—Fairchem Katana, Hong Young Chang Sheng, and Kassiopi-GR—carrying bunkering fuel, container cargo, and coal are scheduled to take berth at MW-1, QICT, and PIBT terminals.
The PQA continues to update shipping movements daily at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT), providing transparency and timely information to stakeholders in the maritime and logistics sectors.
Officials said such consistent operations underline the port’s growing capacity and its vital role in supporting Pakistan’s import-export trade and regional connectivity.
