Karachi, April 8, 2026 – The Port Qasim Authority has released its daily shipping activity report, highlighting vessel movements and cargo handling operations over the past 24 hours to keep maritime stakeholders informed.
According to the latest update issued at 8:00 AM (PKT), five vessels — Stephanie-C, Ocean Helios, Xin Ao Tai-1, Lucky Chem, and Corallo-I — successfully berthed at various terminals. These ships carried a range of cargo including containers, steel coils, palm oil, chemicals, and gasoline, reflecting the port’s diverse trade operations.
Meanwhile, another five vessels — MSC Miraya-V, Chemroad Dita, Kaifan, Galaxy Gas, and Van Leopard — arrived at the outer anchorage, awaiting berthing clearance. These ships are transporting essential commodities such as containers, palm oil, gas oil, LPG, and coal.
During the last 24 hours, a total of eight ships remained engaged at different berths of the port. Out of these, two vessels, Stephanie-C and Propel Wisdom, departed early Wednesday morning. Additionally, three more ships — Ocean Helios, Elina-II, and Lucky Chem — are scheduled to sail later in the day.
The port handled a significant cargo volume of 117,801 tons, including 117,777 tons of imports and a small quantity of export cargo. Containerized cargo reached 1,950 TEUs, all of which were import containers, indicating strong inbound trade activity.
Currently, 15 ships are positioned at the outer anchorage. Among them, vessels such as Galaxy Gas, African Raptor, and CD Fortune, along with Spirit of Bertram, Zhong Gu Kun Ming, and APL Antwerp, are expected to berth at various terminals including EVTL, MW-4, PIBT, and QICT later today.
The report underscores Port Qasim’s vital role in sustaining Pakistan’s maritime trade flow.
