Karachi, April 11, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily shipping program for Friday, April 11, 2025, aiming to streamline operations and keep maritime stakeholders informed about vessel activity at the port. This routine update, issued at 0800 hours, provides a comprehensive overview of shipping movements over the previous 24 hours.
As one of Pakistan’s busiest maritime hubs, Port Qasim plays a crucial role in facilitating trade and logistics. The latest report highlights the sailing and berthing schedules of various vessels, reflecting the port’s dynamic operations and the essential role of shipping in supporting the national economy.
According to PQA, three vessels sailed from the port during the reporting period. Among them, the M.V-SEAMEC GALLANT, carrying 31,500 metric tons of D.A. The M.T-PGC PATREAS, loaded with 3,675 metric tons of LPG, and the M.T-BITUMEN KOSEI, transporting over 4,400 metric tons of bitumen, also set sail from Port Qasim. These departures reflect the port’s capacity to handle a diverse range of cargo types with efficiency and precision.
On the berthing side, the port welcomed several vessels, including the M.V-SALTWIND EXPLORER with 30,000 metric tons of rice, and the M.V-MSC POSITANO, a container ship berthed by MSC Pakistan. The arrival of M.T-IVAN 6, another LPG carrier, emphasizes the port’s growing role in handling energy-related shipments. Port Qasim’s ability to accommodate multiple vessel types simultaneously speaks to the strength of its infrastructure and logistics support.
The shipping program is a vital tool not just for port authorities, but also for shipping lines, cargo handlers, and customs officials, ensuring smooth coordination and minimal delays. As summer begins to heat up, the port remains fully operational, continuing to serve as a critical gateway for Pakistan’s imports and exports.
With the shipping sector increasingly central to economic growth, Port Qasim’s regular updates enhance transparency and operational efficiency. As shipping activity grows, the port continues to cement its reputation as a strategic maritime link for Pakistan.
