Karachi, June 26, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has officially released its daily shipping operations report, shedding light on the port’s bustling maritime activity over the past 24 hours.

The report, issued at 0800 hours, outlines critical movements of vessels including sailings, berthings, and shifts within the port area, providing vital updates for stakeholders in the maritime and logistics sectors.

The port’s operations reflect a dynamic flow of cargo and fuel supplies crucial to Pakistan’s import-export lifeline. A total of five vessels sailed out from Port Qasim during the reporting period. These included bulk carriers, tankers, and general cargo ships transporting commodities such as coal, palm oil, LPG, mogas, and canola seed. Notably, the vessel LYRIC HARMONY departed with over 63,000 metric tons of canola seed, marking one of the day’s heaviest shipments.

Meanwhile, the berthing of new vessels continued to maintain momentum at Port Qasim. Several tankers and carriers docked at various terminals to discharge cargo such as LNG, LPG, palm oil, phosphoric acid, and gasoline. Among these was MARAN GAS ASCLEPIUS, which berthed with a substantial 141,400 metric tons of LNG, underscoring the port’s importance in meeting the country’s growing energy demands.

The report also detailed shipping operations involving the tactical shifting of vessels within the port. The ship PHOENIX OCEAN, loaded with over 64,000 metric tons of soybean seed, was shifted from the outer anchorage, ensuring seamless utilization of berthing space and cargo handling efficiency.
