Port Qasim records busy shipping activity on January 13, 2026

Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, January 13, 2026 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Tuesday reported active shipping operations at the port, highlighting steady maritime trade activity during the past 24 hours.

According to the PQA, the latest shipping operations report was updated at 8:00 am Pakistan Standard Time (PST) to inform port users and stakeholders about vessel movements, including sailings, berthings, and shifting operations.

The authority confirmed that several vessels sailed from the port carrying a range of import and export cargoes. These included liquefied natural gas (LNG), containerized goods, acetic acid, rice, and coal, indicating strong movement across energy, industrial, and agricultural segments. Shipping agents facilitated smooth departures from various terminals, ensuring uninterrupted port operations.

In addition to sailings, multiple vessels berthed at Port Qasim during the reporting period. These ships brought in key commodities such as coal, palm oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and containerized cargo. The berthing activity reflected continued demand for energy supplies and raw materials required by local industries.

The PQA also reported vessel shifting operations within the port area to optimize berth utilization and maintain operational efficiency. Ships carrying cement and coal were repositioned between berths as part of routine port management procedures.

Port officials stated that operations remained normal and efficient, supported by coordinated efforts of terminal operators, shipping agents, and port authorities. The steady flow of vessels underscores Port Qasim’s vital role in facilitating Pakistan’s international trade and ensuring the timely handling of essential imports and exports.
