Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, December 19, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has issued its daily shipping activity report for Friday to keep port users, shipping agents, and other stakeholders informed about vessel movements during the past 24 hours.

According to the PQA, the daily shipping report was updated at 8:00 am Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and covers the arrival, departure, and shifting of vessels handled at the port over the previous day. The report provides key operational details to support smooth port operations and efficient cargo handling.

On the sailing side, one oil tanker carrying palm oil departed from Port Qasim during the reporting period. The vessel, operated by a private shipping agent, sailed after completing the discharge of its imported cargo at the liquid cargo terminal.

Several vessels were berthed at Port Qasim, reflecting steady port activity across multiple terminals. These included container ships, bulk carriers, and tankers carrying a variety of commodities such as containers, rice, coal, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and palm oil. Port officials said that berthing operations remained smooth, with cargo handling continuing as per schedule at dedicated terminals, including the container terminal, bulk terminal, and liquid cargo facilities.

In addition, the report highlighted the shifting of vessels within the port to facilitate operational requirements. A bulk carrier loaded with cement was shifted from its previous berth for further port operations, while a bunker supply vessel was also repositioned as part of routine port management activities.

The PQA stated that regular updates on shipping activity help ensure transparency, improve coordination among stakeholders, and support efficient logistics planning. Traders and shipping companies are advised to stay updated with daily port reports, as vessel movements can impact cargo clearance timelines and overall supply chain operations at Port Qasim.
