Karachi, March 15, 2026 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has issued its daily shipping and cargo movement report for Sunday, March 15, 2026, providing an overview of vessel activity and cargo handling operations at the country’s second-largest seaport.

According to the report released at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time, a total of 18 vessels were present at the port, including ships engaged in the import and export of commodities such as coal, rice, cement, palm oil, canola seed, containers, LPG, and petroleum products. The update covers vessel movements and cargo operations carried out during the previous 24 hours to facilitate port stakeholders, shipping agents, and logistics operators.

Several vessels were berthed at different terminals of the port handling both bulk and containerized cargo. Key cargo operations included the discharge of coal, palm oil, bitumen, phosphoric acid, and petroleum products, while exports such as rice and cement were also processed. Container operations were conducted at the Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT), where multiple container vessels were engaged in loading and unloading activities.

The report also highlighted that a number of vessels are scheduled to sail during the day from terminals including QT2, EVTL, FAP, PIBT, and QICT. Ships such as MSC Vidhi, Grand Ocean, Agios Dimitrios, and Chemroad Kaia are among those expected to depart after completing cargo operations. Meanwhile, vessels including Henry Well and Venus 9 are scheduled to berth for cargo handling later in the day.

In addition, a few ships carrying commodities like coal and LPG were reported waiting at outer anchorage for their berthing turn. The port authority noted that no new vessel arrivals were expected on the day.

Port Qasim remains a vital maritime hub for Pakistan, facilitating large volumes of trade and ensuring the smooth flow of imports and exports through efficient port operations.
