Port Qasim releases daily shipping operations report for December 16

Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, December 16, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Tuesday issued its daily shipping operations report to keep port users, traders, and other stakeholders informed about vessel movements and cargo handling activities at the port.

According to the PQA, the report was updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and covers shipping operations and vessel movements recorded over the past 24 hours. The daily update provides details of ships that sailed from the port as well as vessels that berthed at various terminals, along with information on cargo types and quantities.

The authority reported the sailing of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and petrochemical cargo vessels during the period under review. Among the departing ships were vessels carrying LPG and ethylene, reflecting ongoing activity in the energy and chemical sectors linked to Port Qasim. These movements were handled at designated terminals under the supervision of respective shipping agents.

In addition to sailings, several vessels were berthed at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours to load and unload a range of imported commodities. These included containerized cargo, soybean seeds, soybean oil, gas oil, LPG, and industrial chemicals such as acetic acid. The berthing of multiple vessels at different terminals indicates steady operational activity across container, bulk, liquid, and gas handling facilities at the port.

Port Qasim Authority officials said that regular publication of shipping operations reports helps ensure transparency and enables importers, exporters, shipping lines, and logistics companies to plan their operations more efficiently. They added that the port continues to operate smoothly, facilitating trade and supporting Pakistan’s industrial and energy supply chains.

Stakeholders are advised to stay updated with daily port reports for the latest information on vessel schedules, cargo handling, and terminal operations, as shipping activity remains subject to change due to operational and weather-related factors.
