Karachi, October 8, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its latest shipping operations report for Wednesday, providing updated details on vessel movements, berthing schedules, and cargo handling activities over the past 24 hours.
The report, updated at 0800 hours, offers vital information for traders, logistics firms, and other maritime stakeholders involved in Pakistan’s import and export sectors.
According to PQA, two major vessels departed during the reporting period — M.V. GFS Prime, which carried containers under Eastwind Shipping, and M.V. HG Naples, which transported a consignment of over 50,000 metric tons of rapeseed under Sea Trade Shipping.
Meanwhile, new berthing operations were carried out for several vessels, including M.V. Hansa Africa, managed by GAC Shipping, which docked to handle containerized cargo at QICT Terminal II. Additionally, M.T. EVA Fuji and M.T. Hafnia Australia arrived under Al-Pine Marine’s management to discharge chemical and fuel consignments at their respective terminals.
Port Qasim, one of Pakistan’s busiest maritime hubs, continues to play a key role in facilitating international trade. Its modern infrastructure and digitalized port management system have significantly improved the efficiency of shipping operations, reducing turnaround times and enhancing cargo throughput.
Officials noted that overall port activity remained stable, with steady vessel traffic and smooth cargo handling across all terminals. The next shipping update is expected to be issued on Thursday morning, detailing incoming and outgoing vessel schedules.
