Karachi – June 3, 2025: The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its latest update on shipping operations carried out over the past 24 hours, reflecting continued maritime activity at one of Pakistan’s busiest ports. The update, issued at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, outlines the movement and management of vessels handling both import and export commodities.
According to the Port Qasim Authority, multiple vessels successfully concluded their port operations and set sail after completing cargo handling. Among the departed ships were M.V TANJA, which managed container cargo, M.V BUNUN YOUTH carrying a large cement consignment, and M.T GRAND ACE 1, which handled condensate. These vessels concluded their operations smoothly and departed the port at designated times with assistance from various shipping agents.
Additionally, another vessel, M.T STENA CONDUCTOR, completed unloading palm oil and exited the port under the management of AL-PINE MARINE. These movements underscore the port’s efficient scheduling and coordination in managing both dry and liquid bulk cargo.
Simultaneously, port operations included the berthing of several new vessels to continue the flow of maritime trade. M.T CHEMROAD JUPITEER, carrying a significant load of phosphoric acid, successfully docked in the early hours. Coal cargo vessel M.V ZJ ATLANTIC and container ship M.V GFS PRIME also berthed, indicating the variety of trade activity being managed.
Another ship, M.V MALAMIR, is noted as having arrived and was scheduled to begin port operations later in the day. These vessel movements highlight the Port Qasim Authority’s commitment to maintaining seamless shipping operations, which are critical to the national supply chain and import/export logistics.
The port continues to handle a diverse range of commodities such as coal, phosphoric acid, palm oil, containers, and cement, all of which play vital roles in the economy. The consistent flow of shipping operations reflects both robust maritime infrastructure and coordination between port authorities and private shipping agents.
With multiple terminals in use and various types of vessels arriving and departing daily, Port Qasim remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s maritime and trade operations.
