Karachi, December 17, 2025: The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily shipping operations report, confirming active vessel movements at the port on Wednesday, reflecting steady maritime and trade activity.
According to the PQA, the shipping operations update was issued at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and covers vessel movements recorded during the past 24 hours. The report aims to keep shipping agents, traders, importers, and exporters informed about port activity.
Sailing of Vessels
Several vessels departed Port Qasim during the reporting period. These included oil tankers, container ships, and general cargo vessels. M.T. MH Borga sailed carrying 19,200 metric tons of palm oil, while M.T. Bochem Bayard departed with 6,750 metric tons of soybean oil. Container vessels CMA CGM Zanzibar and Spirit of Bertram also sailed from QICT and QT2 terminals respectively, indicating continued container handling operations.
Berthing of Vessels
On the arrival side, multiple ships berthed at different terminals. Container vessels CMA CGM Zanzibar and Spirit of Bertram docked at QICT-V and QT2-I terminals. The LNG carrier M.T. Al Thakhira berthed at the Engro Elengy Terminal Limited (EETL) with a cargo of 139,598 metric tons of liquefied natural gas.
Additionally, M.T. Bochem Bucephalas arrived carrying 23,783 metric tons of phosphoric acid, while M.V. BBC Fuji berthed with 1,722 metric tons of project cargo. Bulk cargo operations also remained active, with M.V. ASL Ixora berthing to unload 42,000 metric tons of cement, and M.T. TG Virgo arriving with 18,264 metric tons of palm oil.
The PQA stated that port operations remained smooth and uninterrupted, highlighting Port Qasim’s role as a key hub for Pakistan’s import and export activities.
